Angela, Geoff and I decided to take a walk into Grassington today for two reasons. A coffee and a snack in Coffee eco and to check out a pub which serves Sunday Roast for tomorrow.
We walked along the River Wharfe from Grassington bridge to Linton Falls first. The river level had receded since I came on my own last week and when standing on the bridge the sound of water thundering underneath for some can be quite scary.
We crossed the bridge and walked back into Grassington along the road and managed to get a seat in the cafe for our lunch. When Angela and I came in last week they were giving out free chips! Unfortunately not today!
After lunch we walked around Grassington looking for a pub that did Sunday Roast. Fortunately we met a local man who was very helpful and pointed us towards The Foresters Arms apparently the locals and the rugby club use it. The decision was made.
