Sorry for the delay in updating the blog but we haven’t had the time! Brief update is we’re working on the CCC site at Veryan this summer and we’ve been here a month now.
It is situated about 12 miles east of Truro and it seems like all we’ve done is go backwards and forwards to Truro since we’ve been here. You do need some sort of transport here as the buses only run every two hours, and the level of driving around here leaves a lot to be desired!
Our new awning is up and we’ve made it very cosy with lamps, bookcases and rugs so it is a lovely space to relax in.
One weekend we visited our old managers (now friends) at Tregurrian and we took our two man tent to sleep in. We now realise we need two new sleeping bags as ours are just too thin. Originally we had planned to stay two nights but one was enough! Both of us had back ache, neck ache and were just desperate for a good night’s sleep!
Our poor old car failed the MOT this week, so Dean spent three hours in the garage while they fixed the problems – £200 lighter we finally got our car back on the road.
It will probably be going to “automotive heaven” in the next few weeks as we are going to trade her in for a newer Smart car. (The other work needed to keep her roadworthy was greater than the value of the car) Hopefully we pick the new one up next Friday.
