Today Geoff and I decided to go for a bike ride and as I had been before I chose the route. I took us to Calblanque nature reserve and beach which is directly opposite the main campsite but is accessed by a really rough dirt track, made worse by recent rains the month before we got here. It is fairly flat to begin with and then there is a great winding hill down to the beach. I remembered not to get too carried away with the speed as it is very gravelly and on some of the bends you could come unstuck!
We went onto the beach and got wet feet as the tide suddenly came in and caught us unawares!
Geoff is a lot fitter than me so on the way back, that lovely hill we come down has to be climbed and I had to walk for a little of the way as I was a bit out of puff. Geoff stayed on his bike and pedalled alongside me which made me feel good!
