Today we caught the bus into Skipton and the journey took about half an hour. We had a wonderful day walking around the town then we discovered the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. What a beautiful place and it follows around the back of the Castle, leading onto Skipton Woods.
Due to it being bitterly cold (albeit lovely and sunny) we spent a while in Cafe Nero and had a long chat about our time away. We’ve had a fabulous time together and really enjoyed it. This is an area we will definitely come back to, there is so much to do with the walks enticing us to come back. The scenery around here is stunning, as you can see for miles with the snow capped hills and farming land at lower level.
We’ve bought some lovely food from Morrisons (what a fantastic store, an amazing array of fresh fruit and vegetables with some unusual varieties) for dinner tonight as we’re off tomorrow for pastures new.
