Our first full day in France again! The drive today was about six hours and we arrived at Bouchemaine Aire (pg 464 3rd Edition All the Aires France, Vicarious Books, AAFVB) in the Loire Valley about 4pm.
It was quite quiet when we got there so we were able to pick our pitch for ease of leaving, but by the morning it was practically full up. The Aire is very nicely laid out and in the summer there are showers and laundry facilities, but this time of year everything else was still available….and for free! The Aire is situated right on the bank of the River Loire and if we’d had more time we would have cycled along the towpath.
French, Dutch, German and Belgian ‘vans were all here along with the UK contingent so the multi-cultural experience has begun!
