Dean’s mum, sister and brother-in-law (Chris, Manda and John) came and visited us today from Oxford and they could not have picked a better day! The sun has been shining for the last week and the site looks glorious.
Our pitch is looking smashing, even though a wasp tried to set up home in the awning. Dean went out this morning to find the beginnings of a wasp nest attached to the underside of the awning – this and the wasp was hastily despatched! Normality has been resumed…
After a tour of the site and a quick brew, we set off for lunch to the village of Much Marcle and The Royal Oak, www.royal-oak-inn.com. It was incredibly busy but as we were happy to eat outside we were able to get a table. Prices were very reasonable with fish and chips at £8.95 and a two course Sunday Roast costing £10.95.
We had a lovely day seeing them all and spent a great afternoon eating, drinking and chatting so hopefully they’ll all be back soon to spend a little bit longer with us!
Happy Birthday Dean, you both cool cats 🙂
Like to get and visit you soom time.
Keep the blog going, especially the pictures of food – now back to the rather burned, reheated spag bol then.
See you.
Tim.
