Yesterday I (Angela) went out for dinner with two good friends. The last job I had before selling up was based in Wallingford and I got the bus out there to meet Sharon & Jane for dinner.
I hadn’t seen Sharon since 2008 and Jane in 2009 so we had a lot of catching up to do. They both look amazing, even more so as I know how hard they work! We had a lovely meal at Pizza Hut in Wallingford, and they filled me in on all the goings on in the company. It felt a bit strange hearing about my old way of life as it now feels so alien to me, and I can honestly say I do not miss anything about office life at all!
Sharon gave me a lift home at the end of the evening and the three of us intend meeting up again before we leave in March.
Today I met some more friends from another place I used to work, the NHS. It was their Christmas Lunch in Headington and I was invited to join them. The food was very good and again it was nice to catch up with how everyone was doing. There have been a lot of changes in the NHS, with some of them being advised of redundancies but they were all still positive about the future.
Again, my good friend Sherry was there and every time we meet up I end up laughing all the time. As the lunch came to an end I said my goodbyes and made my way back into Oxford City Centre as no shopping has yet been done for Christmas!
