My lovely friend Emma organised a Christmas party for a group of friends and it went down a storm! Apart from the music not being to our taste it was a great night and the first time I’d seen some friends for a year!
I have worked with these ladies (and Danny) on and off for the last 13 years and we’ve remained friends ever since. We may not see each other for six months at a time but we are able to pick up from where we left off every time – that is a sign of true friendship, especially as our lives are so different from each other!
Since we last saw them, Emma and Billy have renewed their wedding vows but we were unable to go to the ceremony as we were still in Scotland then. Seeing them again was wonderful as they look so happy and relaxed with each other.
Dean was working that night so I had to go on my own. The original plan had been to stay at a friend’s house (Sheila) but as the managers were away on a well earned break, I made the decision to only stay out for a few hours rather than all night.
I was allowed a lie-in the next morning, only to begin the day toilet cleaning…oh, the glamour of my life!
