Julia & Philip suggested we visit a place called Mellon Udrigle if we wanted to see a beautiful beach around here. Well, they were certainly telling the truth! The journey out there took us around the other side of Loch Ewe where we saw further remains of the Loch Ewe naval defences relating to WW2.
We took lots of pictures so the journey out there took us a lot longer than it should have done, but we reckon we could get to the beach within 30 minutes on our days off.
There is a car park nearby with a wooden platform taking you round the corner to the beach…
People talk about the beaches around Scotland being as stunning as the Carribean and we think they may well be right! We did see some beaches last year we were up here but the views here out to sea were absolutely amazing!
The sound of the waves crashing on the beach was better than any chill out CD you can buy. We had a coffee while admiring the view then set off back to the campsite…after one final picture!
To top a wonderful day off we were then treated to a fantastic sunset over Loch Ewe. Throughout the season they are supposed to be even more magical.
